How would you assess the sales leadership team at Bill.com in terms of providing mentorship and growth opportunities for sales team members? Would you recommend pursuing a career in sales at Bill.com based on your experience with the leadership team?

The sales leadership team is awful at bill.  They fired the CRO after not even 18 months.  They promote a lot of SDR leaders into leadership positions and they have never closed a deal so they can’t provide assistance. They don’t promote reps, they hire externally or hire an SDR leader to lead AEs.

I have some reservations regarding the assessment from March 18th. Since that time, we have seen notable progress on my team, including the promotion of five representatives. Given that all our current leadership is engaged in closing deals, I am uncertain who the assessment might be referencing.

Additionally, we recently made a change at the CRO level, replacing an underperforming leader with a highly capable successor. I believe this decision was both necessary and timely, and I appreciate that Bill acted decisively to enhance our leadership team.

My experience has been a bit different. They have only hired reps as my managers here. My managers have been great at helping us to get promoted and move on to better opportunities. But overall and from other teams, I hear that is not the case more often than not.
