My overall experience in this role was positive until the new leadership team took over. A team that had strong quota attainment, outstanding culture, strong customer relationships, and a robust incentive plan was dismantled within 90 days. Communication from senior and executive leadership went silent and overnight a quarterly bonus structure was changed to an annual bonus, with only 30 days notice. While ADT is doing its best to refresh its brand as a tech company with its Google partnership, the top-down, micromanagement culture will prevent it from any meaningful, organic growth in the future. If they are not acquired fully by Google, expect another firm to take them private for their cash flow because growth will only come from acquisitions when money is cheap again.

This experience (22 years ago), as a door-to-door salesperson, was the refining fire to a 20-year sales career. Although it was tough, it showed me the value of hustle, how important it is to be approachable and to connect with people, and how to handle objections. Very grateful for my time at this company!
