Leadership turnover and some poor hires - like a Head of COM Sales who relied on discounting and high-pressure tactics - really hurt morale and performance. The product, which once had a strong story, struggled to compete after Confluent adjusted its pricing, and buyer priorities shifted away from what we offered. Inbound leads, especially in Enterprise, were scarce, and delays in cross-functional collaboration held up key features. PT, now the VP of Global Sales, brings solid leadership, but it still feels like Redpanda might have missed its moment.
