Back to ReviewsFormer Employee Marketing doesn't understand what actual customers want. They don't speak to potential customers or to any existing customers, they only speak to analysts. Then based on what analysts say, drive the entire sales vision, which often contradicts what customers want. We have quarterly all-hands meetings where the CEO raves about how great we are doing, and how the company is growing, meanwhile everyone in the company knows the week before the all-hands, several people just got laid off. The company stayed the same size or even shrank across 2022, but to hear the execs at the all-hands, the company doubled in size. The execs never let reality change what they were saying, so if you knew they were lying about basic things, then what else are they lying about?
Advice to Management:
Let sales leadership drive sales vision, rather than marketing leadership. Be honest about layoffs instead of pretending you aren't doing them, when everyone in the company knows you are. Browse Other Reviews
