Back to ReviewsFormer Employee A toxic sinking ship. I moved here out of necessity as I was laid off from another recruitment marketing company earlier in 2023. From Day 1 I could tell this was not going to work.
Only two of the 9 sales reps on my Enterprise team have been there 12+ months, because most flame out in their first year. Zip is very aggressive about putting people on a PIP - some people are put on plan while still in their new hire ramp period. Senior sales leadership, especially in the Bay Area, jokes about how most sales classes are entirely gone after a year due to performance.
6 weeks into my tenure there I was called into a meeting with random HR ppl & execs I had never met before. Along with 9 other reps, I was offered a severance, or a massive demotion that came with a 25% reduction in OTE. As the writing is clearly on the wall there, I took the money and left. The severance I rec'd was nearly 3x the salary I made in my 6 weeks there.
Overall there's no culture, no diversity and everyone is paranoid about missing quota & going on plan.
