Back to ReviewsFormer Employee Yelp has a great culture with smart, driven and diverse people. Regardless of your sales resume, they start all sales reps at the bottom. They teach you the basics of selling and have a “Yelp” way of doing everything, including how to manage your day with strict KPIs they track. Your pipeline is managed with very defined guidelines, and you’re strongly encouraged to use their scrip to pitch every prospect. No self prospecting allowed. Territories reset quarterly. Does there method work? Probably, but I wasn’t willing to stick around for 1-2 years to start making $150-$200k. A sale a day gets you about $240-$300k total, with base. That’s the top 1% though. Your base pay increases from $36k-$56k (roughly) over 1-2 years if you’re producing revenue out of the gate and consistently. Commission is earned two ways, nominal sales and revenue. The biggest commissions are paid twice annually, with the biggest capping out at $25,000. Browse Other Reviews
