Overall, my experience at VMware was fantastic. Like any job a manager can make or break your feeling towards a company. In my case, I had a extraordinary manager then at another point I had a extremely micromanaging manager. The pay was great and worklife balance was superb. With Broadcom acquiring VMware this could have looked different. I did not get to see that perspective.
