Front line sales leadership was amazing, but lessened as it went up the chain. Leadership training was available and well structured, and we had funds available for extra development and training. Inefficient org structure lead to poor sales management and off cycle comp changes which were poorly modeled and executed. Plus they took away equity as a component of sales comp.

While the platform is excellent and used by many companies, the enterprise option is not supported by the company and has little differentiation from the less costly marketplace offering. Compensation is extremely low compared to any other tech sales job. Tons of turnover and layoffs have happened multiple times in the past few years.

My experience at Upwork was choppy, at best, from the start. The challenge the Enterprise team faces is the Upwork market place.
