My overall experience has been quite positive at Toptal. Like most organizations during times of economic downturn, there have been challenges to overcome, but Toptal has done a solid job in paving a path forward for individual reps and teams to grow. This includes transparent leadership and a constant refinement of sales processes and development in order to succeed.

Toptal is a great company and is the leader in the freelance talent space. Compensation is good but not great, unlimited potential to earn just depends on the inbound lead quality and your ability to convert those leads.

Everyone on the SDR hits quota. There are currently 7 people who are 2x their entire quota. They are extremely flexible with work and have amazing market fit. Highly recommend working for Toptal.

Ability to earn commissions has potential if you stick it out with re-orgs, expectation and metric changes every 2-3 months and high turnover. Lack of any supporting eco-system for helping with sales, you rely on pure outbound. Legal agreements are a big challenge and often kill deals.
