If you fall under a certain % you have little or no commissions. If however, you're reaching 100% month over month, then you'll get 22% which is underhead of. Achieve less than 50% though and you'll get nothing.
If this were to change alongside base salaries, tooling and benefits (which there are none) then this would seriously be one of the best places to work. Lots of freedom, not tons of pressure and great people.
Hoping that this is due to the company being bootstrapped and so as funding and/or maturing occurs, things will change. External hires will also have given that there is a tendency do things because that's how they've always been.
