I’m currently with Tanium, where the company emphasizes promoting from within. However, when there are 13 applicants for a first-line manager role and only one is internal interested in stepping into leadership due to the toxic leadership culture, it forces the company to look externally for candidates.

Tanium is challenging to sell in this market. Very strong technology but quite a learning curve for customers to adopt and extremely expensive.
