Great place, but hard to be successful. Overcrowded market with much more mature solutions and native cloud offerings creates tough selling ecosystem and prospects who default to what is most comfortable/well known to them.

The product is strong but requires more focused differentiation. Management has undervalued customer time to value as a success marker and historically under invested in the solution architect role.

Great potential company if they can figure out Product Market fit and how to market against DataBricks and Snowflake. Very little Open Source long tail behind their product making it difficult

Starburst felt like working under a magnifying glass. Process is great but at some point you hire talented people to deliver. Also felt like the product fell upon deaf ears in several markets. I think its great technology but not sure where it was missing the boat in the market.
