The training could be improved a lot; the first two days you are on zoom calls 8 hours cramming information and getting setup with IT. The 3rd day you are thrown out in the field to start cold calling and generating leads to see if you can cut it. The expectations are high and there is no way to expense mileage which is a definite negative since you will be driving around all day.
If your territory has a good manager with a good plan you are lucky; otherwise you are on your own to figure out things fast. The pressure is on from day one; if you are an experienced outside sales rep with a good familiarity of your territory you have a definitive advantage. Otherwise make sure you are investing the time on your own to learn the ins and outs of the product line and your territory if you want to be successful in this role. Browse Other Reviews
