SDRs are rarely promoted, probably less than 10% actually become AEs. The new leadership would rather hire external hires with no database experience than actually trained SDRs that are hitting their metrics. They cutoff RSUs for new employees and switched the SDR org from salary to hourly. Not good signs for a “rocketship” of a company. Marketing is bled dry, SDRs are not getting quality MQLs that convert. You basically have to outbound 90% of the time. Reps from the SDR and AE org are a revolving door. New reps keep getting hired, pre-ramped, then fired or quit because no one is really hitting quota. Company is not doing well since the licensing change either. They are trying to copy the exact playbook that MongoDB did and it’s not working at all. New leadership has fallen flat on their face trying to fix a broken sales and marketing org.
