If you perform exceptionally well during your first month of training, be aware that they may place you on the worst-performing team to balance out the talent—so be strategic about how you approach that initial period. The job involves a high turnover rate and requires you to be comfortable with cold calling all day. While a handful of top-performing reps earn around $3,000–$5,000 per month in commissions (with one standout earning $10,000 monthly), the majority barely make $2,000. Your earnings will ultimately depend on your performance, so you are in control to some extent. However, I’ve noticed a significant flaw: many of the business owners I’ve sold to end up canceling the service within a few months, which suggests the product might not be the best.
