A lot of great people at the company that I truly enjoy working with, but corporate culture is constantly shifting and can be difficult to deal with. Compensation structure is changing dramatically and likely not for the better.

My overall experience has been a great way to enter in the world of competitive sales, but I feel like the high stress environment of construction should provide a higher commission incentive. I believe there are higher paying, better living jobs out there.

Upper sales management is constantly messing with comp plan and, as of the last two years, hurt reps by a large amount (15-30% pay decrease). Overall, it's still paying over competition. Execution of projects hurts future sales. Invoicing and accounts receivable are absolutely terrible.

Johnson Controls is a good large company that does what large public companies do, and that’s focus on their revenue. My division is a lower revenue, higher margin division than the other 2 and we don’t get near as much support.
