Intertek
Back to ReviewsCurrent Employee Intertek is a company with many levels of micro-management.
Leads are a disaster, they are formed merely by people downloading white paper informational sheets (many duplicates).
No territories, there are grey rules for outreach ( the initial I signed on with was "haven't been communicated to in 3 months = good to hit up) not the case.
No assigned verticals to learn and sell into, selling whatever you can = relying heavily on operations to assist with the most basic of questions.
Commission is earned by billed out revenue at the end of the month, doesn't matter if you exceed your order goal by 300%, if ops has issues, you will not get commission.
Sales cycles are challenging to gauge, as some corporations take weeks some take months to accept the proposal and raise a PO/pay by CC/wire transfer, etc.
As a rep you must also gather up background documents such as a credit app, W9/Business registration form, find the correct lab as well as accredited individual to get the project quoted.
Cannot quote on your own, operations must provide as each project is unique, i.e. two similar products, one is $60k and one is $20k
