How effective is the sales training offered at Info-Tech Research Group for new hires?

It's delivered by people who have only ever worked as sales reps and have never been formally trained as adult educators or trainers. They don't use any proper learning software or design. Additionally, most sales leaders at the organization have never worked at another company. They lack a fundamental perspective on how the broader world of sales functions.

The people who lead sales training are just former reps who tasked with leading training. The only time where there has been actual sales training is when the firm hired Value Selling to come into the firm.

Doesn't keep up to date with sales methodologies that have been modernized in the real world - agree with the other review that said that their infrastructure is a mess and they've only worked at ITRG their whole career.

They do invest a lot of time into the training but it's largely ineffective - it is theoretical and not based in your day-to-day work which is typically loads of mindless prospecting. The team who have led the training have certainly had their own successes, but only during a COVID industry boom where it didn't take much to acquire new business.

ITRG invests and tries hard to provide effective training however the product fit and pricing model contribute to a measly 5% close rate for net new business!

There is no Sales training....its just a month spent learning the product/service. Which you could read the website in a few hours and get that same information.

Out of all the negative issues at ITRG this one is not one of them. Some find it too long, too boring, too stressful but they absolutely invest in new sales hires. I found it effective. I found the team running it dedicated and knowledgeable.
