Former Employee Small startup that paid well but over-hired AEs and laid off all but 1 AE within a 4 month span. Multiple reps hired and laid off within 6 months with no reasons, no notice, not even a PIP.
CEO didn't understand how sales works and felt that we should be essentially forcing our prospects to purchase - out of touch with how we can't control a prospect to chance their mind. Had very unrealistic expectations during weekly deal review calls and started getting visibly angry with reps if a deal fell through.
Product was fine, easy to demo, but competitors had superior features and resources to build larger platforms that were more helpful. This was a point solution with a good ROI to show, but ultimately solving a problem that many IT teams didn't feel was a big pain.
Product worked well and looked slick, it's just a tough market especially when selling a "nice-to-have" product like this one. Browse Other Reviews
