The pay structure for OSR's is bottom of the industry. They try to make up for it with profit sharing and stock programs. These are great incentives if you have 2 incomes and are more focused on your future. If you are single and want a comfortable life NOW and not 5-7 years from now, then this is not the place for you. Overall I had a good experience at Graybar. One of the challenges was they kept changing direction. My title changed from Business Development Manager to Account Manager (which was different from an Outside Sales Rep) and they didn't seem to quite know how to compensate Account Managers. And then I got laid off during the pandemic.

Don’t believe them when they say there’s a training program. There isn’t. You start off as a trainee and you figure it out. It’s hourly until you say you want inside sales and theres an actual opening for it.
