VP of sales single handedly ruined the sales department. Several waves of employees getting let go or leaving.
Guy prefers to hire his buddies from previous companies and then fires them after 6 months (2/3 have been fired).
Only one sdr has been promoted to AE in his tenure and there’s been a big handful of deserving SDRs/MDRs.
Metrics don’t matter to get promoted, but they do when it comes to letting you go.
Marketing also has no idea what they’re doing. Spends money putting ads of dragons and unicorns in the subways of NYC with our logo hoping they’d catch a big whale (never happened).
If you enjoy being micromanaged by several managers along with marketing, with a very slim chance of getting promoted. This is a job for you.
Come for the paycheck (below national average) leave with some experience.
You also have performance reviews twice a year, but don’t expect a raise, they almost never happen and nothing worth while.
Positive reviews you see on Glassdoor from sales* are prob from managers.
Also, maybe one person has hit quota, way back in April or May.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
