How do you feel about the sales compensation plan at Fortinet?

It is extremely lucrative if you’re winning and very fair as you ramp.

It is an excellent plan for a well-established company. I can say first-hand that the company has no issues with paying out big $$$ if you sell a big deal. In my case, I have had several gross checks exceeding $200K(one was over $500K) and they don't hesitate to pay it. I have worked for other companies that invoke windfall and other obscure clauses to avoid big payouts.

It is an old school, hardware focused comp plan not inline with the market although they think it is.  If you are from a software SAAS company, you will not want to be here from a compensation plan perspective.  Low accelerators, no carrots and not for top A+ reps.  Not surprising for a large company but unless your selling in the huge big company segment and land a 8 figure deal, you won't make great $ here

Fortinet does not fairly compensate their reps. 16% of reps are hitting quota. Go somewhere else if you want to make money

It’s out dated and certainly not on par with the market. OTE is reasonable but equity is severely lacking. Ken (founder and CEO) still runs the place at every level. Upon being hired you will likely revive a meager RSU grant. After that vesting period is over, do not expect a real stock refresh.
