During the interview process, DataGrail appears to have the makings of a potential unicorn. The caliber of individuals they bring on board is impressive, and the presented "culture" paints a favorable picture for a startup environment. However, as one transitions into the onboarding phase, it becomes apparent that the initial impressions were somewhat embellished. While the interview process is well-organized and engaging, caution is advised not to get overly excited, as there seems to be a substantial gap between the promises made and the reality experienced post-onboarding.

Prospective employees are encouraged to approach the information shared during interviews with a degree of skepticism and seek tangible proof to validate the company's claims. Taking everything at face value may lead to discrepancies between expectations and the actual work environment. It's advisable to ask for evidence and concrete examples to ensure a more accurate understanding of the company's culture and conditions.

The interview process was lengthy but meeting so much of the team was a pro. However, many of the interviewers lied during the process which was definitely a con. Once I joined the team, I would consistently hear complaints from new hires about how they were also misled by multiple interviewers (not even necessarily the same people). Also, the company changes its strategy often so it would be wise to ask about that during the interview. I naively asked about the current state and didn't expect so many changes to occur so quickly after joining.
