company has a good product, high base pay/OTE, but refuses to address the glaring needs sales has to be successful. Instead, they just hire AEs without having the pipeline/accounts to support. The vast majority of reps fail and are fired within 12-18 months

The sales org is driven into the ground, expected to spend 90% of our day PGing (Enterprise reps included). Our metrics are checked every day, and we are micromanaged into oblivion. Hired as an enterprise rep, mostly had commercial accounts and nearly half were duplicate accounts owned by other reps. Decent product but very niche, mostly competing against aws native backup. There were reps closing some big deals, but those were outliers. Majority of the sales reps weren't generating pipeline and weren't closing deals. Very hard to be successful...Read More
