I joined Carbon Black after the VMware acquisition, which was the best of both worlds. I'd been at VMware for 5 years and joined the CB team to help sell CB, but I also worked with my team to help them understand how the platform fits into the larger VMware beast.

This was a great company to work for. They had best in breed technology solutions, and the leadership was very supportive. I only left because they were acquired by VMware while I was there, and I felt with VMware being owned by Dell at the time, it could potentially lead to more of a Dell sales strategy.

Carbon Black was a great company to work for, with good technology and great pay & benefits… so it’s too bad Broadcom killed it by laying everyone off and merging the leftovers into Symantec.
