A dumpster fire within a dumpster fire is the only way to describe how CIENCE is operated. When I first started I was excited, great culture, great team, etc. But then their CEO left and it all went downhill from there. New ideas were thrusted on us and within two weeks they changed it again. I survived 13 rounds of layoffs before I was in the chopping block. Selling clients on false promises to grab their cash and then not following through continuously put front line employees in the firing line. We had to deal with angry clients without being able to tell them that none of these "new products" actually worked. The entire organization (outside of C suite it seems) are overworked and stressed every day trying to do right by clients while working for an organization run by people who don't seem to care.

My view is that the market has been tough for the past year. VC money slowed down and budgets tightened up. CIENCE has gone through a lot of changes to be a company of the future capitalizing on the power of AI within our tools/services. My overall experience was horrible. It's a good ole boy's club and extremely toxic both for the team internally and how they execute the promises they make to clients. It was the true hard lesson learned in what you NEVER want to deal with at a job.
