How would you assess your sales leadership team at Bench Accounting in terms of their support and development of sales professionals? Based on your interactions with the sales leadership, would you recommend pursuing a sales career at Bench Accounting?

I would argue the leadership team is actually very supportive and helpful. Quotas are set reasonably and vast majority of the team do hit quota and into accelerators. Quotas have always been historically set quarterly and don't really change unless something big occurs like a forecasting error. Definitely a role where if you work hard and smart, you will succeed. They do teach you a lot of great foundational material so it's a good place to grow and develop your foundation. Inbound only helps a lot too

No. Sales leadership is only focused on themselves, and not bringing up the reps whatsoever. They'll claim to be on your side, but will stab you in the back if you can't hit quota every single month. The expectation is 100+% every month, otherwise you're "lagging behind" and can get put on a PIP. The sales game at Bench is based on being friends with the leadership, rather than actual performance. If you're friends with the leaders, then you'll be fine. Some of the team leads are great, but others are not so great. Its a good place to start off your sales career, but don't expect it to go smoothly unless you can make friends easily. Great to be on an inbound only sales funnel, but leadership loves changing quota attainment each month, but then not giving you enough leads to accurately hit targets. Oh and don't forget that they won't acknowledge that the best reps are getting the best lead sources, and additional leads. No, you're performance is purely yours and you control every part of it.....
