My overall experience was mixed. The products were mediocre at best but the leadership structure and the atmosphere they created were abysmal and highly exploitative. For a long-term career, Abbott is a roll of the dice. Success is barely recognized, if at all, and individuals are isolated. The current leadership ladder is self-serving and will go out of their way to make sure your successes are not only minimally recognized, if at all, but also twisted to be used as fuel for their own promotion-seeking addiction. I will say it is a great place to learn if you are new to an industry they play in. Abbott is a good place to start your journey - a stepping stone to your eventual success.

Comp plans changed a lot, delayed commission due to the delays in comp plans. Best reps moved around to several different territories. Got a poor performing territory to the top? No presidents club for you, get into another crappy territory and work your magic.

Typical big company. Does not value loyalty. Leadership holds back good employees to keep them making as little as possible.
