Question

SMB AE Base is 70K? Seems a little low for this space no? Is leadership doing anything to address that? How is rep retention?

They've actually addressed it by lowering it to $55K. There are some reps who really crush it being that they were brought up in the system and were very successful SDRs but quota attainment is around 15% across outbound. Hitting quota at a $55K base put you at $98,200 OTE. I would stay away from this job if I were you. There are much better opportunities with a quota that is attainable. Quota here feels like you're just hoping and praying deals go through because that's literally what you're doing, you're trusting the office manager to sell the Dr. on getting Weave.

I second the first response. I was there in 2019/2020 and my base was $50k. Inbound leads were fed to the team leads who were the main ones on the team hitting quota. The product is mediocre at best. Culture was interesting to say the least. I would stay away if I were you.

Base used to be $70k for full cycle but since the mass layoffs in tech caused a surplus in AEs desperate for work, their new max base salary is $55k for new full cycle AEs. Really potentially awkward situation for new reps being hired on when their peers are on legacy base comps ranging from $70-90k

Rep retention has been so bad that now that finally looking at restructuring the salary situation. You're not able to hire top talent with a full cycle AE job only paying $55K when neighbors like Podium are paying $75K base and they have people setting demos for them. I love my team and the culture and luckily I'm on the 70K base but if I were on the 55K I would've already been gone by now. It has turned this job into a beginner AE role where you work here gain some experience as an AE and then Leave to another bigger company with a bigger salary. Soon the commission structure should be updated at least thats whats been floating around because turnaround has been so so high recently. Leadership seems to not really care.
