Back to ReviewsCurrent Employee I am a 1099 contracted employee for Smart City as an apartment locator! The company is SUPER fun to work for. There's always people in the office, fun events going on, you are given leads, and occasional (every two months or so) there are incentives where you can earn awesome items based on your monthly revenue! That being said, this is a job where you are working pretty much around the clock, so if you like your weekends, I would steer clear. Another thing I would say to be mindful of is that in the first two years (at least), it's really hard to make decent money. This is a COMMISSION ONLY job. And upon starting, you get to keep 40% of the revenue you earn (other brokerages give more). Year 2, you get 45%, and year 3, you max out at 50%. However, you CAN earn 60% if you provide the lead yourself, but ONLY if they haven't used Smart City in the last two years. All the $150k+ people have been around for 3+ years, and it is possible to make good money here, but patience is key.
