Former Employee I had 3 different managers in 6 months. One manager left, the other was just temporary while they hired a new manager. I received no support, feedback, or training while under the temporary manager. Mind you, I was still in my ramp up period.
When I started the expectation was 30 cold calls a day and then overnight it changed to 60 cold calls, no exceptions. If you have meetings, demos, etc. then you better find a way to hit your calls by the end of the week. Leadership praised those that hit their calls even if they didn’t close any deals, but heaven forbid if you hit quota but didn’t make 60 calls.
Toxic work environment where if you didn’t kiss the ring of sales leadership then you were not playing ball. We would have home work assignments handed to us by sales leadership to test if we paid attention during their “sales training” meetings. We had territories and rules of engagement that really only applied to new team members, but if you had been there a while then you could snake deals from other reps and leadership wouldn’t do a thing about it.
