Getting promoted to an AE role has become almost impossible. It’s one of the few tech companies that you actually see diversity across teams. Very competitive environment. Most BDRs stay in seat for years. Leadership doesn’t really care about you and your career progression. They frame it as if they do, but the targets and expectations to move up say the contrary. Salesforce is not what it used to be. There has been budget cuts to the point that you can expense $25 for team activities. It’s simply the miserable BDR job without any incentives that typically big companies would offer. Think twice before joining.

Everyone is treated like a number, and there isn't much stability as changes hit every February. There is disparity in people's ability to hit quotas and very little appreciation for challenges your territory may face. Build strong bonds with executive leadership or you'll be on thin ice.
