There’s a ton of opportunity considering how awesome of a product it is. There is a great market fit and customers often love the platform we sell. However, the organization has morphed into being too scattered in its direction. This has led to volatility in hiring/firing and constant team changes that make it difficult for a sales rep to get settled into the role and hit their number consistently. There’s only a few reps working larger deals and everyone else is left fighting to close anything possible, however small. So for the last year or so, many reps are falling short of quota and only making what they can from small deals. Sales leadership seems stuck between a rock and a hard place with pressure coming from further up top, and the individual sales reps suffer from that situation. Great product, good people, but subpar sales strategy and culture.
