You'll gain experience talking to L&D professionals and familiarize yourself with all the details of a B2B transaction. However, a good portion of leadership and the C-Suite team are underqualified to run the company, which can be a good and bad thing. It's good because it's a more relaxed environment where quota attainment for an AE isn't really a thing (but that could have changed now). On the other hand, inexperience can cause some challenges because these are the people you turn to for answers, and they don't have them because they themselves haven't truly been through the fire. When it comes to attainment for the department, however, it's usually done by selecting a number they like or a number they now have to hit because of underperformance, which is often. Even with that said, you can make six figures. They just don't operate like the rest of the sales industry. But again, in regards to that, that's a good thing. Make a lot of money, invest in professional growth on your own dollar, and find another opportunity.
