The leadership team does a lot to ensure SEs are compensated well with bonus kickers to help you go past OTE. The sale is quite technical in nature, so SEs only support 1-2 AEs so that they aren't spread thin - there's a lot of partnership between AE + SE from the beginning of the sale.
