I have been part of a market expansion team that is going to end up folding because of a number of reasons. There is minimal marketing dollars allotted so the role has ended up being primarily about creating brand recognition. We are also selling primarily directly in a market that leans heavily on technology advisors to QB the sales process. This would be less of an issue if we were in footprint with brand recognition. Lastly, we are primarily selling the services of a company that we recently acquired - Masergy Communications. Masergy is a super strong company in managed networks and cybersecurity, but Comcast has since folded the brand entirely into the website, scrubbing the website of the Masergy name. The role has been brutal and at this point no one is hitting target. I said 40% of reps hit goal, but in this market expansion team, which is a year old and across the country, no one is hitting goal. Maybe 2-5% of reps, but none consistently. I predict this particular org will be dissolved by Q3 2025.
