They give you tons of videos to watch during your ramp up period but since it's not taught in an engaging way, nobody actually pays attention to the content. They have you shadow other BDR's for the entire first month. This way, management doesn't actually have to teach you how to do the job. BDR team is very small and unlike most BDR positions, there is not a clear path to become an Account Executive. Most BDR's are very comfortable in their role and have no intentions of getting promoted.
As far as the product market goes, Canon is one of better products in the copier and printer game. It's a top notch product and a household name. Equipment is on the more expensive side of the spectrum but an easy product to push. Being successful is easy in this role, as long as you can fight getting burnt out. This job is a great stepping stone, if you're looking to break into sales.
