When the company was smaller it was good to work for. When it started expanding, like any other brokerage it started reducing compensation and implementing changes that actually reduced your day to day booking. Some very excellent people that work there. Also, some not very excellent people. Depends on the team you end up on. Any 3pl or freight sales role is tough and is a grind. Work hard, embrace the chaos and you will be fine. Untill you get burntout which is common and leave. Goodluck to any soul that is slinging freight!

My overall experience was quite negative. The base salary was good, but the company was micro-managed from the top down. The comp program was very difficult to figure out and was structured very poorly. If you didn't have a sale in 1Q, you would not hit your quota for the year.

BG had a fairly thorough training program covering key facets of selling into supply chain. Where they lack is with keeping high level talent, competitive commission, and organization within the company. Leadership can be unclear with goals and directives.
