Overall my experience has been eye-opening and positive. I appreciate the opportunity to move into this role from my previous Support role. Starting with a very small team, we were privileged to build our subculture. Now that I have notable experience and am aware of the median compensation, I am ready to move on to a company that can not only appreciate contributions but also afford to fairly compensate me for it.

I am very grateful for the opportunity that ActiveCampaign gave me in my career. That said, as an AE, it’s a difficult position to be in as the company focuses on product led growth ie: self-serve, bypassing the sales team. The product is great, and it’s out of the box integrations make it sellable.

Was great for a while with a solid sales culture and cool people. Leadership at the top never cared about Sales and eventually the culture failed. Feelings are valued more than revenue company wide. Product has a ton of competition and AC got beaten by Klaviyo and Hubspot. Many people undercutting them on price now which makes it a race to the bottom.
