As soon as the company went from public to private, metrics started to change and even though I had worked with my team to outperform our sales quota, I was put on a PIP because the team was not selling enough Premium membership programs. After giving them six loyal years, I would have been fired for simply missing the membership mark even though we had gone from 45% when I was promoted to 112% by the time I put in my two weeks.
