Account managers were moved from owning a city/portion of state to being on a team that support a multi-state region. Took all the personality of it out and made it about talking to enough people per day and holding people to their annual rate increase.

Like most places, your experience depends on the business unit location and managment team, and territory. I have great sales leadership and sales team. Territory is dominated by one competitor but making progress.
