I left a major tech company to join Paper (previously known as GradeSlam) when they were only a company of 50 employees. Despite their rapid growth during the pandemic, it looks like their toxic culture has finally caught up with them. The leadership (across orgs, despite the CEO being a former teacher) has little to no connection or passion for the education industry (esp considering majority of clients are in the US). If you are not a former hockey bro who enjoys open misogyny, avoid at all costs. Poor comp, zero training. Avoid at all costs unless you're in absolute dire straits.

My overall experience was negative. The positive was my direct manager and others that I worked with on a daily basis, but most of them were part of the 3rd round of layoffs, with all 3 rounds totaling more than 200+ people. Outside of my direct manger the sales org lacked leadership. Check out Glassdoor to learn more.
