How challenging is it to sell against competitors at Granicus?

I worked at Granicus in 20022-2023. I disagree with the post made on January 11, 2024.  Granicus is around 3-4X more spendy than the closest competitor. If you are in a larger metro market (CA, TX, FL) you can make some "ok" money there.  God help you if you cover any midwest states. Also, some products are an easier sell than other products.  If you hear that they want to fill a role on the "Digital team"....look out. It's a little better if they want you to fill a role on the "GovM" side...but again, expensive and hard. If you are selling the their "short term rental" software, that is better even yet.

If you aren't on the State or Federal teams, you will likely die of starvation working at Granicus. I think only 10% of sales in the entire organization hit goal...and they were not middle market reps.

Granicus also likes to cut staff and replace same staff about ever 15 months. You literally have 15 months at max before they let you go. Government sales, IME, take longer than that to lock in.

That depends strongly on how good you are at differentiating yourself against competitors. There is no dominant player in the space.
