Every day was full of stress and anxiety opening my inbox. This was primarily driven by the lack of ability to actually fulfill promised products and services to end customers despite generating large enterprise-level agreements. The product delays and lead times of over a year had a tremendously negative impact on my customers
From a cultural perspective, my direct report had never managed anyone much less a sales team and it showed. often in poor interactions and a lack of qualified sales leadership. FORT has an uncanny knack for letting their best people walk right out what is truly a revolving door. The micro-management and lack of employee empowerment took a toll on my health. Promised bonuses laid out in my offer letter went unfulfilled and every day felt like a battle. While there is a 'Head of People' on staff, it is not personal development they care about.
