Is Coveo currently hiring for sales roles? Can you provide insights into the interview process for sales positions at Coveo?

I honestly don't know. However, If you apply, make sure you apply for a B2B  sales role.  Coveo has a product discovery solution that is well-suited for B2B.  However, the B2C solution is a totally different story.

Coveo claims to have an advanced product discovery solution that uses content embeddings, product vectors, and 3-dimensional mappings to significantly outperform the competition.  When I left, they claimed and/or inferred that every client was using their advanced platform.  In reality, there was only one...and that client was not very happy.

All the rest of Coveo's clients were using their traditional search platform which is very similar to their competitors that crawl a database looking for keywords.  Their B2C UI was terrible.  The primary users, which are merchandisers and eCom marketers, didn't like it at all.

Perhaps today, they're closer to adopting Qubit's UI, (Qubit was an acquisition) and leveraging its real-time capabilities for product recommendations, badging, and social proof.  Their goal was to combine Qubit's capabilities with Coveo's product search.  To do that, they were going to need to move Qubit's capabilities over to Coveo's tech stack.  So make sure you ask if that has happened.

Perhaps they are closer to figuring out B2C.  When they do, they should have a pretty decent solution. Unfortunately, they've lost a lot of ground to formidable competitors like Constructor.io and Algolia (Algolia utilizes Chat GPT).

Also, it's important to know a few things about Coveo's culture.  
1) Coveo is 100% a product-first company (sales are important, but leadership believes the product sells itself)
2) Coveo wants salespeople who are 100% obedient and will drink the Kool-Aid.   
3) The company's HQ is in Quebec, Canada so you'll see a bias/preference toward French-speaking Canadiens.  
4) Coveo has a history of selective termination of its salespeople, which usually occurs right before, or soon after the salesperson lands a big new deal.  In the cases I'm familiar with, the salespeople got severance instead of the commission.
