My overall experience with Clipboard Health was positive for company culture, initial training, and base compensation. There are great people in this organization and excellent leaders. The initial onboarding is 2 weeks and fairly thorough. However, what should be considered for future candidates is that this is more complex than your typical SaaS sale...Clipboard is essentially viewed as a staffing agency amongst the clients and there is a strong "anti-agency" sentiment amongst not only healthcare facilities but also corporates, which is out of the individual facilities hands. Essentially, you can't sell to just anyone and you're looking for a "needle in a haystack" so to speak so volume of activity is all you have on your hands to find those opportunities which are ever dwindling due to corporates banning agency use. It's an uphill battle for sure. The company has moved on to targeting corporates vs individual facilities and just went through some layoffs as well. They rely heavily on cold calling and have invested no effort in marketing, meaning brand recognition is scarce in the marketplace. Commission is fair, however the tough part is that when you "ink the deal" you don't get paid...the client has post shifts.
