A big challenge with quality inbounds, particularly more so. Quality of BDR support has drastically declined, and only 1-2 people across the mid-market segment alone have a shot at hitting their annual goal. Fairly promising promotion path for those going from SMB to mid-market, but extremely rare for a promotion path from mid-market to enterprise. Challenges with pricing as Algolia is known to be one of the most competitive options. Different goals communicated by executive leadership vs those in direct management roles.

Great overall company and culture. When I was there, SMB AEs were expected to do 3 jobs in one with little support: BDR, AE, SE. My direct manager was useless, most of the time antagonising me and using scare tactics. A true culture of fear rather than support. Great product though. My experience might have been different on another team

Algolia's MM/Commercial Org has shifted a lot in the last few years, it has moved slightly down market in deal size and complexity, but leadflow is strong, win rate is better than not, and comp plan is very fair.
