What’s your prep like for customer meetings on the person you're meeting with? Do you just glance at the LinkedIn profile or research them to find potential angles for the call? Any shortcuts?

just open the call by asking THEM to tell you what’s top of mind. Usually they'll tell you their priorities - sometimes they'll launch into a personal rant. most people love to talk. take notes. adjust pitch. done. keep it simple. Also pro tip - make sure if you have a follow up call that you ask them about whatever they said was important and how it's going.
Lol I used to just skim their LI and wing it until I got bodied in a call where there were some obvious things I shoulda know but didn't. Now I check LinkedIn for them and the company, their website “News” section, and Google their name + “interview” or "podcast" if they're senior enough. I’ll also throw their company into ChatGPT and ask for “likely business priorities.” It’s shockingly good. Sometimes you can also google their quarterly calls if they're public and see if they mention any priorities that might be relevant.
