Cold email vs cold calling— what’s working better for you? If you’ve tested both, which one has been more effective for you? Is 2:1 (2 emails for every 1 call) still the best ratio?

Cold calling all day. Email open rates are garbage right now, and everyone is drowning in inbox clutter. Calling gets me real conversations. Plus, I can handle objections in real-time instead of waiting for a reply that never comes. That said - email+call to the same person is still the best approach. Especially if the email will get your name to show up on their iphone when you call ;)

100% agree in terms of having some email or social outreach mixed in such that the prospect may have a chance of recognizing the name on the caller ID if there is one.

Cold emailing is working better for us right now tbh, but we don't want to abandon any of the core channels and they should be used in complementary ways (email, calling, social). Our ratio is higher than 2:1 emails to calls and I don't see that reversing course any time soon. Parallel dialers and all that have become so mainstream that it's (as you well know) severely impacting connect rates. Hope this helps. It ain't easy. ✌️

Think there is a cultural answer to that as well. Certain geos respond better to calls and certain geos don't appreciate being called on a personal cell. If you are in a Western market I think email + email + call is still the best.

Cold calling works as long as you have mobile numbers for the contacts you are trying to reach. I sell to IT and Info Sec and most of those people are remote or don't have landlines anymore. Using *67 to block your number will increase pick up rates as well.
