Depends on your division and manager. Most of time is luck and territory base. At the end of the day most leaders do not see the day to day in sales but just want reps to produce numbers. We are lucky to see a handful of leaders who was once a sales rep and understands the day to day.

My overall experience was overwhelmingly positive. I started as inside sales right after finishing college. They took a lot of time to develop us professionally while preparing us for field sales. I also had many opportunities to interview and apply for positions within my division as well as other divisions.
